Comme son nom l'indique l'Ihagee Zweiverschluss est équipé de deux obturateurs, qui d'après le catalogue répondent à toutes les exigences des photographes.
Techniquement, il y a deux obturateurs. Sur le bloc optique, il y a un obturateur central Compur. Devant le film, il y a un second obturateur, dit "Plan focal". Pour utiliser ce dernier, il faut que le Compur soit sur une position T, celui de l'arrière permettant des vitesses d'obturation plus rapides.
